MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA~ CALIFORNIA
July 7, 1971
An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of
Santa Aha was convened at 4:20 Po M., in the Mayor's Office,
City Hall, 217 North Main Street, proper Notice and Posting
having been accomplished, with evidence on file in the office
of the Clerk of the Council. The following Councilmen were
present: Wade Herrin, Vernon S. Evans, Jerry M. Patterson,
Harry K. Yamamoto and Mayor Lorin Grise~. Councilman
Villa arrived at 4:35 P. M., and Councilman Markel at 4:55 P. M.
Also p~sent were City Manager Carl J. Thornton, City Attorney
James A. Withers, Assistant City Manager Bruce Spragg, Clerk
of the Council Florence I. Malone and a representative of the Press.

review of the proposed Budget,

The City Manager stated that his Budget message would be submitted
to the Council in the near future~
CITY HALL BUILDING On motion of Councilman
Pattersonj seconded by
Councilman Yamamoto and
carried with Councilman Markel dissenting, staff was requested to
arrange for an appraisal of the present City Hall building and to
prepare a report outlining its possible uses after the City offices
have been moved to lhe new City Hall, approximately July, 1972.
RECESS At 5:45 P.M., Council recessed
for an Executive Session regard-
ing a personnel matter, on motion
of Councilman Patterson, seconded by Councilman Villa and unanimously
carried. Council reconvened at 6:10 P~M., with all Council members
pre sent.
ADJOURNMENT At 6:llP~M., the meeting was
adjourned on motion of C~uncil-
man Patterson, seconded by
Councilman Villa and unanimously carried.
