HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-16-1972MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA February 16, 1972 The meeting was called to order at 5:00 P.M., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall Annex, 530 North Ross Street, with the following Councilmen present: Wade I-Ierrin, Harry K. Yamamoto, J. Ogden Markel, and Mayor Lorin Griset. Councilmen Ray Villa and Jerry M. Patterson arrived at 5:05 P. M., and 5:30 P.M., respectively. Councilman Vernon S. Evans was absent. Also present were City Manager Carl J. Thornton, City Attorney James A. Withers, Director of Public Works Ronald Wolford, Clerk of the Council Florence I. Malone, and Sandi Mosley, representing the "Register" newspaper. Evidence was on file with the Clerk that proper notice of the meeting had been given. NEW CITY HALL BUILDING The Mayor announced that the purpose of the meeting was to provide Council an opportunity to inspect the New City Hall Building and the Council Chambers which are presently under construction and at 5:10 P.M. , Council and Staff departed the City Hall Annex and commenced their tour. At approximately 6:15 P.M., they returned to the Annex and were shown samples of the decorating materials to be used in the new buildings and reviewed the building plans.
