OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
August 31, 1972
An Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana was
convened at 4:15 P.M., in the Conference Room of the Santa Ana Public Library,
502 Civic Center Drive West. Affidavits of proper Notice and Posting were on
file with the Clerk of the Council. The following Councilmen were present:
Wade Herrin, Vernon S~ Evans, Harry K. Yamamoto, Jerry M. Patterson, J.
Ogden Markel and Mayor Lorin Griset. Councilman Ray Villa arrived at 4:40
P.M. Also present were Acting City Manager Bruce C~ Spragg, and Clerk of
the Council Florence I. Malone~
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Manager:
At 4:18 P~M., the Council adjourned
to an Executive Session for discussion
regarding the appointment of a City
CITY MANAGER APPOINTMENT At 5:35 P.M., the City Council
reconvened with all Councilmen
present. Bruce C. Spragg ~s
appointed City Manager and his salary was set at $35,000 per year, subject to his
providing evidence of satisfactory physical examination by a licensed physician,
on motion of Councilman Herrin, seconded by Councilman Patterson and carried
with Councilman Markel dissenting.
ADJOURNMENT
Evans, seconded by Councilman Villa.
The meeting was adjourned at
5:55 PoM., on the unanimously
approved motion of Councilman
