The program offers free lunches to children from low-income families at locations throughout the City. Due to the success and benefits of the Summer Lunch program, the program was expanded in 2001 to operate year-round and incorporated into the City's youth recreational programs. Five of our community centers and seven non-profit organizations provide year-round lunch services, including Lyon Street Parent Center, Los Puenta, Iglesia Metodista, La Serena Apartments, Corbin Family & Community Center, Memorial Recreation Center, Jerome Recreation Center, El Salvador Recreation Center, Salgado Recreation Center, the Boys & Girls Club of Santa Ana, Victory Outreach, and Hispanic Ministries (KIDWorks).
