RECOMMENDED ACTION
Amend the contract with Allstar Fire Equipment, Inc. for fire hose by
$11,941.93 for a total not to exceed $29,452.17.
DISCUSSION
The Santa Ana Fire Department has established an ongoing replacement
program for fire hose. Fire hose is replaced at a rate of one engine
load per year, eliminating a need for mass purchases. The replaced
fire hose is used on reserve fire apparatus or stored for unexpected
emergencies.
