DISCUSSION
In order to provide a secure area for inmates to be interviewed and
contact visitors within the Santa Ana Holding Facility, the existing
visitation area requires modification. The contract will provide for
the installation of two impact resistant metal locking doors. The
doors will improve the security and safety in the visitation area.
Staff has further analyzed the requirements and is redefining the
specifications for the building materials and door construction.
Therefore, staff recommends the rejection of the bids submitted, as
revise specifications will be included in the re-bidding process.
FISCAL IMPACT
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.
