RESOLUTION 71-37 OF TIre CITY COUNCIL OF TIre CITY
OF SANTA ANA SUPPORTING TIre CONCEPT OF FAIR
HOUSING AND SETTING FORTH TIre INTENTION OF SAID
COUNCIL TO EMPLOY ALL LAWFUL MEANS WITHIN ITS
POWER TO ENFORCE THE FAIR HOUSING LAWS
WHEREAS, fair and equal access to housing is a right
guaranteed to all citizens by law and conscience; and
WHEREAS, the exercise of the right to obtain housing
without discrimination by race, creed, color, or national origin
is fundamental to the exercise of other rights to which all
citizens are entitled; and
WHEREAS, all citizens have a duty
in the enforcement of all laws including

That the City of Santa Ana is a city committed to the concept
of Fair Housing; and

That all citizens are urged to obey the spirit and letter

That the City of Santa Ana will employ all lawful means within
its power to enforce the Fair Housing laws; and
5.
That the City of Santa Ana endorses the proclamation of
. April 19th through 25th as Fair Housing Week, expressing
itswelcome to all residents as shareholders in common with
the interest in making Santa Ana a good place to live.
