RESOLUTION NO. 79-2
"
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA ACCEPTING A
DELEGATION OF FUNCTIONS, AUTHORIZING
THE INCURRING OF AN INDEBTEDNESS AND
THE EXECUTION OF A LOAN AGREEMENT,
PROMISSORY NOTE, AND OTHER DOCUMENTS TO
SECURE A DEFERRED PAYMENT REHABILITATION
LOAN FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 50660 through 50668,
inclusive, of the California Health and Safety Code, the
California Department of Housing and Community Development
(hereinafter referred to as the nStaten) is authorized to
make deferred loans for the rehabilitation of housing in
designated areas¡ and
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of
Santa Ana, a public body, corporate and politic, organized
under the laws of the State of California, is enabled and
eligible to receive said loans and desires to accept said
delegation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSING
AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That the Housing Authority of the City of
Santa Ana accepts the delegation of functions pursuant to
Title 25, California Administrative Code, Subchapter 5,
nDeferred payment Rehabilitation Loans,. heretofore made by
the City of Santa Ana, a municipal corporation of the State
of California¡ and
2. That the Housing Au tho ri ty of the Ci ty of
Santa Ana is hereby authorized to incur an indebtedness and
to enter into an agreement with the State to borrow an
amount not to exceed one hundred thousand dollars
($100,000.00) for the purposes of making deferred payment
loans for housing rehabilitation¡ and
3. That the Housing Authority of the City of
Santa Ana is hereby authorized to give a promissory note and
other appropriate instruments to the State to evidence said
debt and to secure said note¡ and
4. That the Chairman of the Housing Authority of
the City of Santa Ana is hereby authorized to execute in the
name of the Housing Authority said Loan Agreement, note and
other documents required to consummate said transaction.
