RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF
AN APPLICATION TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT
OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR ADDITIONAL
CERTIFICATES UNDER THE "SECTION 8 HOUSING
ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR EXISTING HOUSING"
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of
Santa Ana is authorized to administer the "Housing Assistance
Program for Section 8 Existing Housing" for the United
States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD"),
and
WHEREAS, HUD notified the Housing Authority of the
City of Santa Ana on June 12, 1981 that forty (40) additional
Section 8 certificates are available, which would increase
the number of persons of low and moderate income who may be
assisted in their housing within the City of Santa Ana, and
WHEREAS, the forty (40) available Section 8 certificates
consist of ten (10) for elderly persons, twenty-five (25)
small families, and five (5) for large families as these
terms are defined in Title 24 of the Code of Federal Regulations,
and

WHEREAS, HUD requires the Housing Authority of the
Santa Ana to file its application for the forty (40)
8 certificates by June 23, 1981.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the HOUSING
AUTHORITY of the City of Santa Ana as follows:
1. The Housing Authority of the City of Santa
Ana declares the submission of the application for the forty
(40) Section 8 Existing Housing Certificates by June 23,
1981 to be an emergency matter.

directed to take all necessary steps to file said application
