RESOLUTION 87-5
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE
UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
FOR ADDITIONAL HOUSING VOUCHERS UNDER THE "SECTION 8
HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR EXISTING HOUSING."
WHEREAS, the Housinq Authority of the city of Santa Ana is
authorized to administer the "Housinq Assistance proqram for the
section 8 Existinq Housinq proqram for the United States Department
of Housinq and Urban Development ("HUD"); and
WHEREAS, HUD notified the Housing Authority of the City of
Santa Ana on August 26, 1987 that section 8 Housinq Vouchers are
available which would increase the number of persons of low and
moderate income who may be assisted in their housing within the City
of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, the thirty-two (32) Section 8 Housinq Vouchers are
consistent with our Housinq Assistance Plan (HAP);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housinq Authority of
the City of Santa Ana as follows:
1. The submission of an application to the United
Department of Housing and Urban Development for thirty-two
additional section 8 Housinq Vouchers is hereby approved.
2. The Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the
City of Santa Ana is hereby authorized and directed to take all
necessary steps to file said application and to provide such
information as may be required. .
