RESOLUTION NO. 89-1
RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE
UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
FOR ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATES UNDER THE
"SECTION 8 MODERATE REHABILITATION PROGRAM II
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Santa
Ana is authorized to administer the "Housing Assistance Program
for Section 8 Existing Housing" Program for the united States
Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD"); and
WHEREAS, HUD notified the Housing Authority of the
City of Santa Ana on January 3, 1989 that additional Section 8
Moderate Rehabilitation certificates are available which would
increase the number of standard housing units available to low
and moderate income persons, and increase the number of persons
of low and moderate income who may be assisted in their housing
within the City of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, the available section 8 Moderate
Rehabilitation certificates applied for consist of forty (40)
small families, and thirty-five (35) large families as these
terms are defined in Title 24 of the Code of Federal
Regulations; and

WHEREAS, HUD requires the Housing Authority of the
Santa Ana to file its application for the additional
8 Moderate Rehabilitation certificates by January 20,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the HOUSING
AUTHORITY of the City of Santa Ana as follows:
1. The Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana
declares the submission of the application for the additional
section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation certificates by January 20,
1989 to be an emergency matter.
2. The submission of an application to the united
States Department of Housing and Urban Development for
additional Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation certificates is
hereby approved.
3. The Executive Director of the Housing Authority of
the City of Santa Ana is hereby authorized and directed to take
all necessary steps to file said application and to provide such
additional information as may be required.
