RESOLUTION 90-7
RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE
UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
FOR ADDITIONAL HOUSING CERTIFICATES AND VOUCHERS UNDER
THE SECTION 8 HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM FOR EXISTING HOUSING
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana is authorized to
administer the HOusing program for the Section 8 Existing Program for the United
States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("OOD"): and
WHEREAS, HOD notified the HOusing Authority of the City of Santa Ana ("Housing
Authority") that Section 8 Housing certificates and Vouchers are available which
would increase the number of persons of low and moderate income who may be
assisted in their housing within the City of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, the Housing Advisory Commission of the City of Santa Ana approved the
application of the Housing Authority on May 29, 1990: and
WHEREAS, the one hundred seventy-three Section 8 Housing Certificates and
Vouchers are consistent with our Housing Assistance Plan ("HAP");
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing Authority of the City of Santa
Ana as follows:
1. The submission of an application to the united States Department of
HOusing and Urban Development for one hundred seventy-three additional section 8
Housing Certificates and Vouchers is hereby approved.
2. The executive Director of the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana
is hereby authorized and directed to take all necessary steps to file said
application and to provide such information as may be required.
