RESOLUTION 92-01
RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING
THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO
THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING
AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR ADDITIONAL HOUSING
CERTIFICATES AND VOUCHERS UNDER THE
SECTION 8 HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM IN
CONNECTION WITH FAMILY SELF-SUFFICIENCY
WHEREAS, the Housinq Authority of the city of Santa Ana is
authorized to administer the Housinq Program for the Section 8
Existing Proqram for the United States Department of Housing and
Urban Development ("BUD"); and
WHEREAS, BUD notified the Housing Authority of the City of Santa
Ana ("Housinq Authority") that section 8 Housing Certificates and
Vouchers in connection with the Family Self-Sufficiency Program are
available which would increase the number of persons of low-and
moderate-income who may be assisted in their housing within the city
of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, the additional section 8 Housing certificates and
Vouchers are consistent with our Housinq Assistance Plan ("HAP");
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing Authority of the
city of Santa Ana as follows:
1. The submission of an application to the United States
Department of Housinq and Urban Development for additional Section 8
Housing certificates and Vouchers in connection with the Family Self-
Sufficiency Program is hereby approved.
2. The Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the city
of Santa Ana is hereby authorized and directed to take all necessary
steps to file said application and to provide such information as may
be required.
