RESOLUTION 94-07
RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE
UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
FOR ADDITIONAL HOUSING CERTIFICATES AND VOUCHERS UNDER THE
SECTION 8 HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana
("PHA") is authorized to administer the "Housing Assistance Program
for the Section 8 Existing Program for the united States Department
of Housing and Urban Development (IIHUD") ¡ and
WHEREAS, HUD notified the PHA that section 8 Housing
certificates and Vouchers are available which would increase the
number of persons of low and moderate income who may be assisted in
their housing within the city of Santa Ana; and
WHEREAS, the additional section 8
Vouchers are consistent with our
Affordability Strategy (IICHAS")¡
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing Authority of the
City of Santa Ana as follows:
Housing certificates and
Comprehensive Housing
1. The Submission of an application to the united States
Department of Housing and Urban Development for one hundred
additional section 8 Housing certificates or Vouchers is hereby
approved.
2. The Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the
City of Santa Ana is hereby authorized and directed to take all
necessary steps to file said application and to provide such
information as may be required.
