RESOLUTION NO. 99-06
RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
APPROVING THE SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION TO THE UNITED STATES
DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR ADDITIONAL
HOUSING VOUCHERS UNDER THE SECTION 8 HOUSING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
IN CONNECTION WITH THE MAINSTREAM HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR
PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES PROGRAM AND ACCEPTING AN ALLOCATION OF
HOUSING VOUCHERS FROM SAID APPLICATION
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana
(" PHA" ) is authorized to adrninister the" Housing Assistance
Program" for the Section 8 Existing Program for the United
States Departrnent of Housing and Urban Developrnent (" BUD" ); and
WHEREAS, HUD notified the PHA that Section 8 Housing
Vouchers in connection with the Mainstrearn Housing Opportunities
for Persons with Disabilities prograrn are available which would
increase the number of persons of low- and moderate-incorne who
rnay be assisted in their housing within the city of Santa Ana;
and
WHEREAS, the additional Section 8 Housing Vouchers are
consistent with our Consolidated Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Housing Authority of
the City of Santa Ana as follows:
1. The subrnission of an application to the United States
Departrnent of Housing and Urban Developrnent for 75 additional
Section 8 Vouchers in connection with the Mainstrearn Housing
Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities prograrn is hereby
approved.
2. The Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the
City of Santa Ana is hereby authorized and directed to:
a. Take all necessary steps to file said application and
to provide such information as may be required; and
b. Accept an allocation of additional housing vouchers
frorn said application and execute all necessary
docurnents as may be required.
3. The Secretary is hereby authorized to irnpress the
official seal of the PHA on such documents evidencing the

approval and authorizing the execution thereof as rnay be required
by the Governrnent.
4.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately.
