RESOLUTION NO. 2001-08
RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA APPROVING ACCEPTANCE OF
500 HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHERS FROM THE UNITED
STATES DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT UNDER THE SECTION 8 HOUSING
CHOICE VOUCHER PROGRAM AND AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION THEREOF
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA AS FOllOWS:
Section 1, The Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana hereby finds,
determines and declares as follows:

A, The Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana ("PHA") is authorized to
administer the "Housing Choice Voucher Program" for the Section 8
Program and a Family Self-Sufficiency program for the United States
Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD"),
B. HUD notified the PHA that 500 Section 8 Housing Choice Vouchers in
connection with the Fair Share Allocation are available which would
increase the number of persons of low- and moderate-income who
may be assisted with housing through the Housing Authority of the City
of Santa Ana,
C, The additional Section 8 Housing Vouchers are consistent with the
Consolidated Plan.
Section 2, The acceptance of 500 Housing Choice Vouchers awarded
by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development in
connection with the Fair Share Allocation is hereby approved,
Section 3. The Executive Director of the Housing Authority of the City of
Santa Ana is hereby authorized and directed to accept an allocation of 500
additional Housing Choice Vouchers and execute all necessary documents as
may be required.
Section 4, The Secretary is hereby authorized to impress the official
seal of the PHA on such documents evidencing the approval and authorizing the
execution thereof as may be required by Government.
