MINUTES
HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
June 27, 1972
A regular meeting of the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana was
held on June 27, 1972, at 4:00 P.M., at the City Hall Annex, 530 North
Ros s Street, Santa Ana. The meeting was called to order at 4:08 P.M.
by Chairman Patter son.
The following members of the Authority responded to the roll call:
Wade Herrin
Lorin Griset
H¡¡.rry K. Yamamoto
Jerry M. Patterson
The following members of the Authority were absent: '
Vernon S. Evans, Vice Chairman
Ray Villa
There were also present by invitation the following:
Bruce Spragg, Acting City Manager
James A. Withers, City Attorney
Florence 1. Malone, Recording Secretary
Sandi Mosley, Reporter
The full reading of the Minutes of
the regular meeting of May 23, 1972
was waived and the Minutes were
approved as mailed on motion of Commissioner Griset, seconded by
Commis sioner Yamamoto, and unanimously carried.
MINUTES
The resignation of Secretary Pro Tem
Carl J. Thornton, effective at the
close of business June 15, 1972, was
accepted on the unanimously approved motion of Commissioner Griset, seconded
by Commissioner Herrin.

Bruce C. Spragg was appointed as
Secretary Pro Tem, effective at the
close of business June 15, 1972, on the
unanimously approved motion of Commissioner Griset, seconded by
Commissioner Herrin.

SECRETARY PRO TEM REPORT
Mr. Spragg reported that Mr. Clarence
Kennedy, Jr., repre sentati ve of the
Housing and Urban Development Depart-
ment,had advised Robert Portillo on June 26 that all the legal requirements for
the City's Program 23 Leased Housing had been satisfied; that confirmation of
the allocation should be made on June 27 (today); however, at this time there had
been no additional communication from HUD.

Following discussion regarding the
regular meeting day, the City Attorney
was instructed to prepare a Resolution
changing the regular meeting day from the fourth Tuesday of the month at
4:00 P.M. to the third Monday at 2:00 P.M. for pre sentation at the next
meeting.
REGULAR MEETINGS
ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned at 4:20 P.M.
on the unanimously approved motion of
Commissioner Herrin, seconded by Commissioner Griset.
