MINUTES
HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
December 18, 1972
A Regular Meeting of the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana was
called to order by Chairman Jerry M. Patterson at 2:00 P.M., in the
Council Chambers of the City Hall Annex, 530 North Ross Street, Santa
Ana.
The following members of the Authority responded to the roll call:
Ray Villa
Wade Herrin
Lorin Griset
Harry K. Yamamoto
Vernon S. Evans
Jerry M. Patterson
There were also present by invitation the following:
Bruce Spragg, Secretary Pro Tem
James A. Withers, Attorney for the Authority
Florence I. Malone, Recording Secretary
Con Blis s, Reporter
The meeting was recessed at 2:05 P.M., and reconvened at 4:15 P.M.,
with all members present; on motion of Commissioner Villa, seconded
by Commissioner Herrin and carried, with Commissioner Evans
dis senting .

20, 1972, was waived and the
were unanimously approved as mailed on motion of Commissioner
seconded by Commissioner Yamamoto.
REPORT OF SECRETARY PRO TEM
to implementation of the Section 23
The Authority considered the report
from the Secretary Pro Tem
dated December 12, 1972, relative
Leased Housing Program.
Following discussion, it was moved by Commissioner Griset and seconded
by Commis sioner Yamamoto.
1) To authorize implementation of the Section 23 Leased Housing
Program with the immediate filling of two positions which were originally
proposed in the Authority's application to the Department of Housing and
Urban Development; i. e., a full time Housing Coordinator at pay range
No. 291 ($863.00 to $1,049.00 per month) and an Account Clerk I at
pay range No. 195 ($540.00 to $657.00 per month); and
2) To authorize staff to investigate the possibility of hiring a licensed
realtor, on a fixed fee, short-term basis, to assist in locating housing
suitable for Section 23 tenants.
