MINUTES
HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
April 16, 1973
The Regular Meeting of the Housing Authority of the City of
Santa Ana was called to order by Chairman Jerry M. Patterson
at 2:05 P.M., in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza,
Santa Ana. The following members of the Authority responded
to the roll call:
John Garthe
Harry K. Yamamoto
Jerry M. Patterson
Vernon S. Evans
James E. Ward
Lorin Griset
The following persons were also present:
Bruce C. Spragg, Secretary Pro Tem
James A. Withers, Attorney for the Authority
Florence I. Malone, Recording Secretary
Representatives of the Press
The full reading of the
Minutes of the Regular
Meeting of March 19, 1973,
was waived and the Minutes were unanimously approved as mailed
on motion of Commissioner Griset, seconded by Commissioner
Yamamoto and unanimously carried.

The status report dated
April 12,1973, Section 23
Housing was presented to
the Authority. In accordance with the recommendations contained
in the report, the following action was authorized on the
unanimously approved motion of Commissioner Griset, seconded
by Commissioner Ward:
REPORT OF SECRETARY
PRO TEM
1.
Establishment of a Housing Authority savings
account, in the form of a 90-day time certificate
deposit, in the amount of $3,000, with the Banco
del Pueblo of Santa Ana; and
Establishment of a policy whereby the Housing
Authority savings account shall not exceed the
sum of ten per cent of the total Housing Authortt~
budget in any given fiscal year.
2.
ADJOURNMENT The meeting was adjourned
at 2:10 P.M., on the
unanimousl~ approved motion
of Commissioner Yamamoto, seconded by Commissioner Garthe.
