MINUTES
HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
JULY 2, 1973
The Annual Meeting of the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana
was called to order by Chairman Jerry M. Patterson at 4:10 P.M., in
the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana in accordance
with Authority By-Laws. The members of the Authority responded to
the roll call a s follows:

The Secretary
distributed copies
of a letter from
the Housing Coalition of Orange County, dated June 25, 1973, enclosing a
copy of a Resolution to the Orange County Board of Supervisors recommend-
ing that the Board send a request to the President of the United States
asking an immediate end tb the moratorium on federally funded housing
assistance programs.
REPORT OF SECRETARY
PRO TEM
The letter, written by the Housing Coalition Chairman, Mrs. Josephine
Caines, requested that the Authority support this request before the Board
of Supervisors at its meeting on July 10.
Commissioner Yamamoto's Jnotion, seconded by Commissioner Ward, to
endorse the request for the end of the moratorium and to also request
continuation of refinement and improvement of the housing programs was
unanimously carried.
The status report of the Section 23 Housing Program, dated June 20, was
received and filed by common consent.
The Authority
affirmed the continuation
of its present officers,
Chairman Jerry M. Patterson and Vice Chairman Vernon S. Evans, on the
unanimously approved motion of Commissioner Griset, seconded by Com-
missioner Ward.
