MINUTES
HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY
OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
June 20, 1977
The Regular Meeting of the Housing Authority of the City of
Santa Ana was called to order at 2:08 P.M., by Vice Chairman
David F. Ortiz, in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza,
Santa Ana. The following members of the Authority responded to
the roll call:

Meeting of May 24,1977, were approved as mailed on the motion
of Commissioner Evans, seconded by Commissioner Garthe and
unanimously carried (5-0).
BILLS AND COMMUNICATIONS
Nothing to report.
SECTION 23 LEASED HOUSING PROGRAM
FINAL CLOSE-OUT REPORT
On motion of Com-
missioner Evans,
seconded by Com-
missioner Ward and carried unanimously (5-0), the following
documents were received and filed:
1.
The Final Close-Out Report for the Section 23
Leased Housing Program, indicating that the 30
authorized units will be converted to the Section
8 Program tentatively by June 30, 1977.
2.
May 31, 1977, Trial Balance for the Section 23
Leased Housing Program, indicating a balance
of $566.531.71.

ASSISTANCE PAYMENTS
PROGRAM
On motion of Com-
missioner Evans,
seconded by Com-
missioner Garthe
documents were received
and carried unanimously (5-0) the following

The Monthly Report for the Section 8 Rental
Assistance Payments Program, indicating that
291 of the 450 units authorized by HUD were
under lease as of June 1,1977.

Housing Assistance Payments Program (HAP), indi-
cating a balance of $732,719.76.
A RESOLUTION OF
THE HOUSING AUTHORITY
OF THE CITY OF SANTA
ANA REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 72-15 AND ESTABLISHING MAXIMUM INCOME
LIMITS FOR ADMISSION TO, AND OCCUPANCY OF, LOW INCOME HOUSING LEASED
BY THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, was deleted from
the Agenda because the Section 23 Program has been discontinued on
motion of Commissioner Garthe, seconded by Commissioner Ward and
unanimously carried (5-0).
RESOLUTION NO. 77-2
The invitation from the
U. S. Department of
Housing and Urban
Development (HUD) to
apply for Additional Section 8 Housing Assistance Payments Program
units, described in the report dated June 14, 1977, was received
and filed on motion of Commissioner Ward, seconded by Commissioner
Garthe, with Commissioner Evans dissenting (4-1).

Evans dissenting, the Budget for Fiscal Year 1977-78, in the amount
of $1,013,215 was approved for the Existing Housing, Section 8
Housing Assistance Payments Program.
