HOUSING AUTHORITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
REGULAR MEETING
January 5, 1981
The regular meeting of the Housing Authority Commission
was called to order at 2:10 p.m. by Chairman Serrato in

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
The Minutes of the December 8, 1980 Housing Authority
Commission Meeting were approved 7:0 on a MOTION by
Vice Chairman Yamamoto, seconded by Commissioner
Luxembourger.
CONSENT CALENDAR
The City Manager explained that a new interim Director is needed to oversee the
functions of Housing Authority until the Executive Director position is perman-
ently filled and that Mr. Uptegraff has been directing the housing task force on
code enforcement for over nine months.

Chairman Serrato asked if recruitment for the Executive Director position has begun.
Mr. Wilson affirmed that it has been and it is hoped that the position will be filled
by February.
Commissioner Luxembourger inquired if there would be a salary adjustment with the
position of interim Director added to Mr. Uptegraff's current duties. Mr. Wilson
stated there would be none.
4IIIÞ A MOTION was made by Commissioner Ward, seconded by Commissioner Griset and carried
7:0 to appoint Michael L. Uptegraff as interim Executive Director.
NEW BUSINESS
Rehabilitation Loan Program: The City Manager asked for a continuance of the rehab-
ilitation loan agenda item to January 19,1981 at 2:00 p.m. A MOTION for continuance
was made by Commissioner Luxembourger, seconded by Commissioner Bricken and unan-
imously approved, 7:0.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:24 p.m. by Chairman Serrato with unanimous informal
consent.
