HomeMy WebLinkAbout01/19/1988 8 MINUTES HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA REGULAR MEETING JANUARY 19, 1988 The Regular Meeting of the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Ana was called to order at 3:56 p.m. by Chairman Young in the city Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, California. PRESENT ABSENT Miguel Pulido () Dan Young Patricia McGuigan .Ron May Wilson Hart Daniel E. Griset John Acosta The following staff were present: David N. Ream, City Manager Edward J. Cooper, Authority Counsel Cynthia J. Nelson, Executive Director APPROVAL OF MINUTES: The Minutes of the January 4, 1988 Housing Authority Meeting were approved on a Motion by Authority Member McGuigan, seconded by Authority Member Acosta and carried 6:0. . NEW BUSINESS A. Award of Contract for ComDuterization of Section 8 Rental Assistance Proarams SDec 87-108. -- The Housing Authority authorized the following action on a Motion by Authority Member Acost~, seconded by Authority Member May and carried 6:0. 1) Reject the bid from Harris-Lanier Corporation as non-responsive to the specification. 2) Award the bid and authorize the Chairman and the Executive Director to execute a contract with KMA Corporation, the lowest responsive bidder for computer equipment in the amount of $32,215.56. B. Transfer of Santa Ana Towers OwnershiD. -- The Housing Authority Approved the sale and transfer of the Santa Ana Towers from National Housing Consultants to SBD Properties and authorized the Chairman and Executive Director to execute the assignment of the Housing Assistance Payment on a Motion by Authority Member McGuigan, seconded by Authority Member May and carried 6:0. MISCELLANEOUS . A. Secretary of the Authority ReDort: The Secretary of the Housing Authority was instructed to insert the following into the minutes on a Motion by Authority Member Pulido, seconded by Authority Member Acosta and carried 5:0: Pursuant to Government Code Section 54954.2 the January 19, 1988 Ho~gdng Authority Agenda was posted on the door of the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza, at 8:30 a.m.'on January 15, 1988.
