OF ~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
August 9, 1979
The meeting was called to order in the City Council Chambers, 22 Civic
Center Plaza, at 8:15 a.m. by Mayor Ward. Council members present were
Gordon Bricken, J. Ogden Markel, Harry K. Yamamoto and Mayer Ward.
Councilman A1 Serrate arrived at 8:20 a.m. Councilmen R. W. Luxembourger
and Daniel E. Griset were absent. Also present were Assistant City
Manager Daniel E. Stone, City Attorney Keith L. Gow and Deputy Clerk of
the Council Martha Lee.
M~ORANDA OF UNDERSTANDING Following a sunmary of the
PBA~ FBA - SACEA staff analysis contained in
APPROVED the report dated August 8,
1979, prepared by the Director
of Personnel, presented by the Assistant City Manager, MOTION was made
by Bricken, seconded by Yamamoto, to 1) Approve the agreements between
City and Police Benevolent Association, Firemen's Benevolent Association,
and Santa Ana City Employees Association; 2) Authorize their execution
by Mayor and Clerk; and 3) Authorize staff to implement the provisions
of the agreements and to draft appropriate revisions to administrative
orders and affected Municipal Cede Sections.

MOTION was made by Bricken, seconded by Ward, to instruct the Mayor to
write a letter to each of the Associations thanking them for their
courtesy and cooperation during the en~ployee negotiations,
