OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
December 8, 1980
The meeting was convened at 12:37 p.m. by Mayor Ward in the Room 831,
City Hall, 20 Civic Center Plaza. Council members present were Gordon
Bricken, Daniel E. Griset, R. W. Luxembourger, J. Ogden Markel, Alfred
C. Serrato, Harry K. Yamamoto, and Mayor James E. Ward. City Manager
A. J. Wilson, City Attorney Edward J. Cooper, and Clerk of the Council
Janice C. Guy were also present, as well as Planning and Public Works
staff representatives, a member of the press, and several members of the
public.
DISCUSSION ITEM The City Manager presented a
CONTINENTAL CENTER PROJECT staff report on the chronology
and current status of the Con-
tinental Center project proposed
for construction in Orange, along the border between the cities of Orange
and Santa Ana just north of Santiago Park, and responded to Council's
questions on the matter, particularly in regard to traffic impacts and
building heights. A member of the public voiced the neighborhood's con-
cern relative to the proposed development. No action was taken on the
matter.
RECESS The Council recessed at 1:58 p.m.
and reconvened in the Council

at 2:10 p.m. with the same members present.
