RESOLUTION NO. 81-74
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT
AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AUTHORIZING
THE CHAIRMAN TO EXECUTE A COMMERCIAL REHA-
BILITATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE AGENCY AND
MASAO M. UYESUGI AND MARY M. UYESUGI
FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT
221 W. FOURTH
AND PROVIDING FOR THE EXEMPTION OF SAID
PROPERTY FROM ACQUISITION BY THE AGENCY BY
EMINENT DOMAIN UPON CERTAIN CONDITIONS
BE IT RESOLVED by the Community Redevelopment
Agency of the City of Santa Ana as follows:
1. The Chairman of the Agency is hereby
authorized to execute on behalf of the Agency that certain
agreement entitled "Canmercial Rehabilitation Participation
Agreement, (221 W. Fourth),"
form dated 3/25/81, between the Agency and
Masao M. Uyesugi and Mar~ M. Uyesugi,
copies of which are on flle in the office of the Executive
Director of the Agency and to which reference is hereby made
for full particulars, which Agreement pertains to property
(hereinafter referred to as the "subject property")
specifically described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and
incorporated herein by reference.
2. The Executive Director is hereby authorized
to take all steps, and to sign all documents and in9truments
necessary to implement and carry out this Agreement on
behalf of the Agency.

3. Upon issuance of a Certificate of Completion
pursuant to the abovesaid Agreement, the Executive Director
of the Agency shall cause this Resolution to be recorded in
the Official Records of Orange County. From and after the
date of such recordation, the subject property shall be
exempt from acquisition by the Agency by eminent domain in
accordance with section 33399(g) of the Community
Redevelopment Law, subject to the condition that, in the
event of the substantial destruction of the building
rehabilitated pursuant to the above said Agreement, said
exemption shall terminate.

EXHIBIT A
The real property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange,
State of California, described as tollows:
Beginning at a point on Fourth Street 85 feet West of the South-
east corner of Lot 2 in Block 13 of the Town (now the Cityl of
Santa Ana; thence North 50 feet; thence East 6 inches; thence
North 50 feet; thence West 20 feet and 8-3/4 inches to the center
of the brick wall; thence South 100 feet along the center of the
brick wall to the line of Fourth Street and thence East 20 feet
and 2-3/4 inches to the place of beginning and being a portion of
Lots 2 and 3 of Block 13 of the Town of Santa Ana, as shown on a
map recorded in Book 2, Page 51 of Miscellaneous Records of
Los Angeles County, California, so laid off as to enclose the
East store room of the brick building standing March 16,1886,
on the Northeast corner of Fourth & West Streets (said West
Street now being known as Broadway Street) from center of brick
wall on the East to center of brick partition wall in said
building.
