HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-22-1982MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA February 22, 1982 The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m., in Room 831, City Hall, 20 Civic Center Plaza, by Mayor Gordon Bricken. Councilmembers present were John Acosta, R. W. Luxembourger, J. Ogden Markel, Patricia A. McGuigan, Alfred C. Serrato, and Mayor Gordon Bricken. Also present were City Manager A. J. Wilson, City Attorney Edward J. Cooper, Clerk of the Council Janice C. Guy, several members of City staff, and representatives of the architectural/engineering firms proposing designs for the Santa Ana Intercity Commuter Station. Councilmember Daniel E. Griset joined the meeting at 5:44 p.m. AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL DESIGN SERVICES - SA INTERCITY COMMUTER STATION CONT'D TO 2/24/82 The City Manager reviewed the project history and the evalua- tion process which had led to staff's recommendation. Presentations delineating each firm's proposal relative to the design of the Santa Ana Intercity Commuter Station were made by the following: 1. Archiplan Urban Design Collaborative - Dick Thompson 2. The Blurock Partnership - Robert Hench 3. Grillas-Pirc-Rosier-Alves/S&T Wester, Inc. - Cles Wiseman 4. Thirtieth Street Architects - Jim Wilson Councilmembers then asked specific questions of the firms' representatives present. Due to the fact that the Mayor had to leave for Sacramento, the Council, by unanimous informal consent, agreed to continue discussion of the matter to 5:30 p.m., on Wednesday, February 24, 1982, in Room 831, City Hall, 20 Civic Center Plaza. the meeting. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor. At 7:00 p.m., the Mayor was excused from CA 82.18 The Council recessed to Executive Session at 7:00 p.m., and re- convened at 7:15 p.m., with the same members present except the ADJOURNMENT The meeting was informally adjourned at 7:15 p.m..
