January 17, 1984
The meeting was called to order at 5:45 p.m., by Mayor R. W. Luxembourger,
in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza. Councilmembers present
were John Acosta, Daniel E. Griset, P. Lee Johnson, Patricia A. McGuigan,
and Mayor Luxembourger. Also present were Interim City Manager Rex
Swanson, City Attorney Edward J. Cooper and Assistant Clerk of the Council
Nancy Byron Dean. Councilmembers Gordon Bricken and Dan Young were
absent.
INVOCATION - Councilmember Patricia A. McGuigan
At 5:46 p.m., the Council recessed to Executive Session and reconvened at
5:54 p.m., with the same members present.

MOTION:
Authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute a Memorandu~ of
Understanding with the Police Benevolent Association for
1983-84 and 1984-85.

At 5:56 p.m., Council recessed to the Community Redevelopment Agency,
reconvened at 6:50 p.m., and Jm~nediately recessed to Executive Session.
Council reconvened from Executive Session at 7:15 p.m., with the same
members present.
