W. Luxembourger in the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza. Councilmembers present were John Acosta, Gordon Bricken, P. Lee Johnson, Patricia A. McGuigan, Dan Young, and Mayor Luxembourger. Also present were City Manager Robert C. Bobb, City Attorney Edward J. Cooper, and Assistant Clerk of the Council Nancy Byron Dean. Councilmember Daniel E. Griset joined the n~eting at 6:25 p.m. EXECUTIVE SESSION Council imuediately recessed to Executive Session and reconvened at 6:20 p.m., with the same members present. 1. JT. PUBLIC HEARING - CITY COUNCIL & (I)M~UNITY REDEVELOPMI~T AGENCY PROPOSED SALE BY THE CRA TO URBATEC OF PROPERTY BOUNDED ON THE SOUTH BY FIRST STREET, ON THE WEST BY SPURGEON STREET, ON THE NORTH BY THIRD STREET, AND ON THE EAST BY THE PROJECT AREA (A-10 SITE). MOTION: Continue for 90 days; authorize staff to proceed with appraisals on the project site. PUBLIC HEARING - CITY COUNCIL & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY PROPOSED SALE BY THE CRA TO GRAND PLAZA DEVELOPMENT COMPANY OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2726 SOUTH GRAND AVENUE (FIRE TRAINING SITE). The Mayor opened the public hearing regarding the proposed sale by the Community Redevelopment Agency to Grand Plaza Develol~uent Company. The Assistant Director of Redevelopment and Real Estate, and Project Manager Nelson presented the staff report and recom- mendations. The Assistant Clerk of the Council reported no written communica- tions. Bill McWethy, of Grand Plaza Development Company, spoke in favor of the sale. RESOLUTION NO. 84-37 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS WITH RESPECT TO THE CONSIDERATION TO BE RECEIVED BY THE (X)5~UNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA PURSUANT TO A PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CO,UNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA AND GRAND PLAZA DEVELOPMENT CC~PANY FOR THE SALE OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE SOUTH MAIN STREET REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AND APPROVING THE SALE OF SAID REAL PROPERTY UPON THE TERMS ~ CONDITIONS CONTAINED IN THAT AGRE~IMENT. MOTION: Johnson SECOND: McGuigan VOTE: Ayes: Noes: Absent: Acosta, Bricken, Griset, Johnson, Luxembourger, McGuigan, Young None None FILE 410.10 CITY COUNCIL MINUTES 102.3 MARCH 20, 1984 ORAL CO~3NICATIONS Councilmember Acosta stated he had received n%m~erous complaints regarding Group W Cable TV and suggested that the C~unity Cable Citizens' Board be alerted about these complaints. He also said he had not yet received the report he had requested on the enforc~nent of no parking on street sweeping days. The City Manager said he would provide the report to Council. Mr. Acosta suggested that the City's list of bidders be purged on a regular basis. Councilmember McGuigan requested that Housing provide a report to Council by March 26, of the status of the Mobilehome Mediation Service, including what has been done and how much money has been spent.
