DISCUSSION On March 6, 2000, the City Council adopted a resolution establishing the Santa Ana Workforce Investment Board and appointed 33 members. In accordance with the federal legislation, a majority of the Board and the Board Chair must represent the private sector. The remaining Board seats represent education, non-profit organizations, one-stop mandated partners and local labor organizations. Currently there are four vacancies on the Board consisting of two private sector seats, one labor seat, and one economic development seat. After an extensive recruitment campaign and interview process, one new candidate is recommended for appointment to the Board. The private sector nominee is Devina Lacroix, Owner/CEO, Lacroix Roofing. Her resume and nomination form are attached (Exhibi t 1).
