OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
MARCH 17, 1987
Due to the cancellation of the Community Redevelopment Agency study
session scheduled for Room 147, the meeting was convened at 5:42 p.m. by
Mayor Dan Young in the Council Chambers. Councilmembers present were
John Acosta, Daniel E. Griset, Wilson B. Hart, Ron May, Patricia A.
McGuigan, Miguel A. Pulido and Mayor Young. Also present were City
Manager David N. Ream, City Attorney Edward J. Cooper and Clerk of the
Council Janice C. Guy.

OWNER PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT WITH SYCAMORE RETIREMENT
APARTMENTS, LTD. AND MERCURY SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION
(AGENCY ITEM 3A)
The Mayor opened the joint public hearing of the Community Redevelopment
Agency and the City Council of the City of Santa Ana regarding the
proposed sale of property located at 220 and 222 S. Sycamore Street, by
the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Santa Ana to Sycamore
Retirement Apartments, Ltd. and Mercury Savings and Loan Association.
Staff report, Community Redevelopment Commission recommendation and staff
comments were presented by Housing Manager Pat Whitaker.
The Clerk of the Council reported no written communications.
Bob Moore, 214 S. Broadway, spoke in favor of the proposed sale.
There were no other speakers on the matter.
The Mayor closed the public hearing.
MOTION: {Part of concurrent action with Community Redevelopment Agency)
Adopt resolution.
RESOLUTION NO. 87-9 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS WITH RESPECT TO THE CONSIDERATION TO BE
RECEIVED BY THE COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
PURSUANT TO AN OWNER PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COMMUNITY
REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, SYC/~qORE RETIREMENT
APARTMENTS, LTD., AND MERCURY SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION FOR THE SALE
OF CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY AND APPROVING THE SALE OF SAID REAL PROPERTY
UPON THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CONTAINED IN THAT AGREEMENT.
