FIRST AMENDMENT TO
CONSULTANT AGREEMENT
THIS FIRST AME~DMENT TO CONSULTANT AGREEMENT, is entered
into on l\e(":'~i- {,)+ ,2002, by and between Crown Fence Company., a
California corporation ("Consultant") and the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and
municipal corporation of the State of California ("City").
Recitals:
A. The parties entered into an Agreement dated July 26, 2002, (hereinafter "said
Agreement") by which Consultant installed chain link fence to secure City vehicles at
the 5th and French parking garage.
B. The parties wish to increase the compensation to pay for additional work requested by
City, and to extend the term of said Agreement.
Wherefore, in consideration of the covenants contained in the Agreement, and subject to
all the terms and conditions of the Agreement, except those amended in this First
Amendment to Consultant Agreement, the parties agree as follows:
I. Paragraph I - SCOPE OF SERVICES - shall be amended to include the installation
of a top rail along the entire portion of fencing.
2. Paragraph 2.a. - COMPENSA TION - shall be amended to increase the amount of
compensation by seven hundred dollars ($700.00). Said paragraph shall read:
"City agrees to pay, and Consultant agrees to accept as total payment for its services,
the rates and charges identified in Exhibit A. The total sum to be expended under this
Agreement, shall not exceed $5,000.00 during the term of this Agreement."
3. The term of said Agreement shall be extended through September 30, 2002.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this First Amendment to
Consultant Agreement on the date and year first written above.
