OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA
JUNE l, 1990
The meeting was convened at 10:18 a.m. by Mayor Dan Young in the lobby of
the Council Chambers, 22 Civic Center Plaza. Councilmembers present were
Patricia A. McGuigan, and Miguel A. Pulido. No other Councilmembers were
in attendance. City Manager David N. Ream and Clerk of the Council Janice
C. Guy were present.
Also present were Supervisor Roger Stanton, Santa Ana Unified School
District Board Member Rob Richardson, representatives of the Greater Santa
Ana Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, members of
the City's Executive Management Team, and the press.
Since a quorum of the City Council was not present no actions were taken.
However, each of the elected officials present expressed their opposition
to Measure A, an initiative on the June § Ballot which would require that
all jails constructed in the future be sited within the boundaries of the
City of Santa Ana.
