RECOMMENDED ACTION
Award a contract to LC Action Police Supply for the purchase of firearms
in the amount of $11,261.03.
DISCUSSION
The Santa Ana Police Department Traffic Division has approximately 25 motor
officers. Motor officers are issued firearms for protective measures in
the line of duty. The current models are over 12 years old and the finish
has begun to deteriorate as a result of constant exposure. The recommended
action will allow for replacement and issuance of a new weapon to motor
officers.
