HomeMy WebLinkAbout25C - JANITORIAL SVCS CITY COUNCIL MEETING DATE: ~ ~ REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION CLERK OF COUNCIL USE ONLY: APRIL 3, 2006 TITLE: APPROVED a~g:2 CITY MANAGER D As Recommended D As Amended D Ordinance on 1" Reading D Ordinance on 2" Reading D Implementing Resolution D Set Public Hearing For RENEW AGREEMENT FOR POLICE DEPARTMENT JANITORIAL SERVICES CONTINUED TO FILE NUMBER RECOMMENDED ACTION Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and the Clerk of the Council to renew the agreement with Able Building Maintenance Company, for janitorial services at the Police Department in an amount not to exceed $400,000. DISCUSSION In November 2003, the City Council approved a one-year agreement with the option of two, one-year renewals with Able Building Maintenance Company to provide janitorial services at the Police Department. The agreement provides for equipment, supplies, and maintenance of the Police Department facility with an on-site supervisor. Able Building Maintenance Company has performed in a satisfactory manner and staff recommends exercising the last one-year renewal option of this agreement. FISCAL IMPACT Funds are available in the Police Department's Property & Building Other Contractual Services Account (account no. 011-350-6291).
