Review of proposed City Charter amendments - administrative changes
(Sections 400, 402, 413, 421, 422 and 1200) - Clerk of the Council
Continued from the April 3, 2006 City Council Meeting by a vote of 7-0
Staff went over questions asked by various Council members at the April 3,
2006 Council meeting. The members present authorized the City Attorney's
staff to begin drafting implementing ordinances for Council compensation,
purchasing procedures including signature authority for the City Manager, and
for public works contracts. The Council also authorized staff to schedule the
next study session to discuss changes to the Charter impacting Boards and
Commissions for the May 1, 2006 meeting.

90.A. PUBLIC COMMENTS
Glen Stroud noted that he attended two events sponsored by the Police
Department last week; one event was the annual Police awards banquet. The
second event was a tour of the Police Administration section. Both events
were very successful
Des; Reyes asked that the vacancy on the Environmental and Transportation
Advisory Committee be filled as soon as possible
Lisann Martinez expressed concerns about a memorial she had constructed
for her son which was vandalized
Beryl Wilson Vie beck expressed concerns relative to the condition of some of
the homes in Heninger Park

of the 100 Black Men organization.
