NEW COUNCIL ORIENTATION
Public Works Agency Executive Director Jim Ross introduced key members of the Public
Works staff, presented a slide show demonstrating the major responsibilities of the Agency,
and related these responsibilities to the City's overall goals.
6:50 P.M. - Councilmember Moreno left the meeting.
Councilmember Mills requested the location of the route for the proposed Central Orange
County Fixed Guideway in Santa Ana be scheduled for discussion at a future Council
meeting.
Executive Director Ross highlighted several Public Works construction projects and oriented
the Council concerning two major December 7, 1992 Council Agenda matters: the street
rehabilitation projects under the Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act (ISTEA)
and the proposed Great Western Reclamation contract for refuse collection, recycling, and
disposal.
Public Works Agency staff members responded to Councilmembers' questions concerning
operations in their respective areas.
