RECOMMENDED ACTION
Direct the City Attorney to prepare and authorize the City Manager and
Clerk of the Council to execute an agreement with the Police Officers
Association (POA), Santa Ana Management Association (SAMA), and Service
Employees International Union (SEIU) regarding wages and other terms and
conditions of employment.
DISCUSSION
The City and the Police Officers Association (POA), Santa Ana Management
Association (SAMA), and Service Employees International Union (SEIU)
recently completed contract negotiations resulting in a two-year contract
extension. This extension period covers July 1, 2008 through June 30,
2010.
The provisions of the agreement are as follows:
