RECOMMENDED ACTION
Approve an appropriation adj ustment accepting funds from the Orange
County Transportation Authority in the amount of $100,000 into the
Select Street Construction fund (account no. 59-01-5621-7) and
appropriating funds to the Select Street Construction fund (account no.
59-551-6631) for traffic engineering services.
DISCUSSION
On September 13, 2004, the Orange County Transportation Authority
(OCTA) and the City of Santa Ana entered into a cooperative agreement
to provide traffic engineering services as part of the State Route 22
Widening Project. The agreement provides $100,000 to reimburse the City
to manage traffic that is directed from the freeway to City streets. In
order to receive these funds, the City must approve an appropriation
adjustment.
