PUBLIC COMMENTS Dr. John Bennett, representing the Santa Ana Unified School District expressed concern about the temporary traffic barriers in French Park Maria Gutierrez Garcia, Principal of Davis School, expressed concerns about the safety of the school children at Davis and distributed copies of a petition from parents of students at the school Sally Ramirez, representing SEW Local 347 addressed Council relative to contract negotiations with the City's part-time employees and the need for benefits for these employees 90.B. CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS Councilmember Alvarez • Encouraged adults and children to walk to school together to raise awareness about the importance of safe walking behavior on October 2, 2002 • Noted that Santa Ana has a large population and that all neighborhoods have traffic issues.
