Benefits to be granted on account of Prior Service of employees other than City Firemen and City Polioemen, shall be assumed to be on the same scale as such benefits are now pro- vided for State Employees other than members of the Highway Patrol. It is under- stood, however, that said Prior Service benefits finally may be provided at a fraction of suoh scalos, respeotively, in acoordance with Section 830 of the Retirement Act. This request is made in accordance with Section 58b of the State Employees' Retirement Aot, and is subject to the provisions of that Act. It is understood particularly that the definitive contribution which will be required of the subdivision, may differ from the approximate oontribution now requested to be quoted, and that the cost of determining the approximate contribution will not include the cost of determining the definitive contribution, although many of the calculations made in the former determination, may be incorporated in the latter.
