AMENDMENT TO POST-RETIREMENT COOPERATION AGREEMENT
BETWEEN DAVID VALENTIN AND THE CITY OF SANTA ANA
[AGREEMENT NO.N-2023-3011
THIS AMENDMENT to the Post-Retirement Cooperation Agreement Between David Valentin
and the City of Santa Ana ("Cooperation Agreement") is entered into on March 18, 2025, by and
between David Valentin ("Valentin") and the City of Santa Ana ("City").a charter city and
municipal corporation organized and existing under the Constitution of the laws of the State of
California(" City"). Collectively, Valentin and the City may be referred to in this Agreement as
"The Parties".
RECITALS
1. On November 1, 2023, the Parties entered into a Cooperation Agreement (Agreement No.
2023-301)that provided an hourly reimbursable rate to Valentin for his agreement to
cooperate,assist, participate and appear for various legal matters. The agreed upon rate
under the terms of the Cooperation Agreement was$300 per hour.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual and respective promises, and subject to the
terms and conditions of the Agreement, except as hereinafter modified, the Parties agree to the
following:
1. Section 2, Compensation, shall be amended to increase the hourly rate paid to Valentin
to $350.00 per hour, for a maximum of twenty(20) hours, strictly in relation to and solely
for ONE CASE only. CASE as used herein shall mean the following pending civil
litigation matter: Rita Ramirez v. City of Santcr zina, Orange County Superior Court Case
No.: 30-2022-01287702-CU-OE-NJC.
2. Except as modified by this Amendment, all terns and conditions of the Agreement, as
amended, shall remain in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEROF, the parties hereto have executed this Agreement the date and year first
written above.
