AND
SANTA ANA POLICE MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION
REPRESENTATION UNIT
FOR THE TERM JANUARY 1, 2022 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2025
This First Amendment to the Memorandum of Understanding("MOU") is entered into on
May 6, 2025, by and between the City of Santa Ana, a charter city and municipal corporation
organized and existing under the Constitution and the laws of the State of California ("City") and
the Santa Ana Police Management Association ("SAPMA") a recognized employee bargaining
unit (collectively"Parties").
RECITALS
WHEREAS, on November 15, 2022, the Parties have entered into an MOU with a terni of
January 1, 2022 through June 30, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the Parties wish to modify Article 6.0 of their MOU as set forth below.
THE PARTIES THEREFORE AGREE as follows (additions are underlined and deletions
are stricken):
I. Article 6.0, Section 6.2(A), amend the language as follows:

1. 69yel-1Supeivisory POST Certificate — A swots employee who successfully obtains
their Supervisory POST certificate;shall be paid at a fek�e-set approximately five percent
(5%) above their then current base monthly salary step(eap-51%),
2. Level 2California Command Colle17e or FBI National Academy—A sworn employee
who successfully otains tlseir POST ANDq mpletes the California
Command College,OR FBI National Academy,or equivalent coursework that focuses
on developing leadership skills or inereasina knowledge of contemporary law
enforeement issues of a management/executive nature and is approved by the Chief of
