Renew the contracts for charter bus services for a one-year period, in the
following annual amounts.

Certified Transportation Services, Inc. Santa Ana $30,000
Pacific Coast Sightseeing Tours and Charters Anaheim $30,000
DISCUSSION
The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Agency utilizes charter bus
services for youth excursions and transportation to Zoo Camps. Coach buses
with restroom facilities are used for excursions that require one hour or
more of travel time. Shuttle buses are used for trips lasting less than
one hour.
To help ensure that all necessary charter busses are available when
required, contracts were awarded to both Certified Transportation Services,
Inc., a Santa Ana vendor, and Pacific Coast Sightseeing Tours and Charters
for a one-year period with provision for four one-year renewals. The
vendors have performed satisfactorily during the past contract period and
have agreed to renew the contracts without an increase in pricing. Staff
recommends the first renewal of the contracts. Annual amounts are based
upon past usage and staff's projection for the next year.

Services account (no. 11-275-6291).
