FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT FOR
PROVISION OF ANIMAL CARE SERVICES
THIS FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT is entered into on May 4, 2009, by and
~/i ~ between the County of Orange ("COUNTY") and the City of Santa Ana ("CITY").

~ ~''~ A. The parties entered into that certain Agreement A-2007-183, dated July 1, 2007,
N ~' ~ (hereinafter "said Agreement") by which COUNTY provided animal care services.

w o ~ B. In accordance with the terms and conditions of said Agreement, the term
~' ~ automatically extended six months.
C. During the extended term of said Agreement, COUNTY charges exceeded the
estimated City payments for the initial one-year period.
D. The CITY desires to authorize payment to COUNTY for services provided during the
extended term of said Agreement.
WHEREFORE, in consideration of the covenants contained in said Agreement, and subject
to all the terms and conditions of said Agreement, except those amended in this First
Amendment to Agreement, the parties agree as follows:
1. Total compensation to be paid for COUNTY services during the eighteen month term of
said Agreement shall be increased by $20,698, for a total amount of $655,769.00.
2. Except as hereinabove amended, all terms and conditions of said Agreement shall
remain in full force and effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have executed this First Amendment to
Agreement on the date and year first written above.
