THIS FIRST AMENDMENT to the above-referenced agreement is entered into on April 23,
2025,by and between VCA Animal Hospitals,Inc. a California corporation.dba VCA West Coast
Specialty and Emergency Animal Hospital, ("Consultant"), and the City of Santa Ana, a charter
city and municipal corporation organized and existing under the Constitution and taws of the State
of California("City").
RECITALS
A. The parties entered into Agreement No. N-2025-011 on January 21, 2025 ("Agreement") to
provide emergency care and specialty veterinary services to police canines. The term of the
Agreement is two (2)years,until June 24, 2027, and is still in effect.
B. The parties wish to amend the compensation to compensate Consultant for services provided
since September 26, 2023.
The Parties therefore agree.
1. Section 2.a,Compensation is amended to provide compensation to the for services provided
since September 26, 2023, totaling $13,567.80. This amount is included in the not to exceed
amount of$35,000.
2. Except as modified by this First Amendment, all terms and conditions of the Agreement shall
remain in full force and effect.
