Chapter would include standards on: • Graffiti prevention through architectural design • Increased landscaping • Security Lighting ■ Create tools in SAPIN for quick identification of "high" graffiti areas F�NFORCI MEND ■ 2 Full-Time Graffiti Task Force Detectives • The only law enforcement agency in Orange County with detectives solely assigned to graffiti vandalism cases • Assigned to the SAPD Gang Detail ■ Santa Ana School Police Enforcement • Orange County Probation Department • Orange County District Vtorney's Office 0 ENFORCEMENT ■ 2008 Statistics • Arrests by GTF = 228 • Arrests by Patrol Officers = 159 • Arrests by School Police = 102 • Total = 489 • Probation Searches = 306 ■ Probation Arrests = 72 ■ Restitution Received $42,301 TYPICAL SEINTENCTIS IN JUVENILE COURT ■ A Penal Code misdemeanor case results in 20 days of community service, $50.00 fine, CDI. suspension, probation and restitution paid to the victim. ■ A Penal Code felony case results in the same penalty as a misdemeanor with an increase in the fine to $100.00 and 20+ days of community service 7 ADULT COURT • A Penal Code misdemeanor case results in 200 hours of community service, $100.00 fine, CDL suspension, formal probation and restitution paid to the victim. • A Penal Code felony case results in 20 to 60 days in jail, $200.00 fine, CDL suspension and formal probation • Penal Code misdemeanor cases can take up to 5 months to be concluded in court, felonies can take up to 3 months to conclude lVI- AT IS GRAIN 1T1 TRACI�I:R?
