Santa Ana PD 2025-11359 Report by Perez, Carlos 3984 3 of 6
stated he was walking home with his cousin, Evelyn Berenice Reyes, when they were approached by a male
subject, later identified as and Reyes were contacted on the northwest corner of S. Ross St.
and W. Pomona St. approached and Reyes and retrieved a silver handgun with a brown handle from his
waistband. pointed the handgun at and Reyes and stated the following, “Do you guys bang?” Based on
my training and experience, I know this statement is slang for, “What criminal organization are you guys from?”
informed they were not part of any gang.
Furthermore, relayed the following to the victims, “Run me your shit. I’m gonna blast you if you don’t give me
your shit.” Based on my training and experience, given the context this statement was made under, I know was
demanding the victims to hand over all their personal belongings, such as money and any valuables while pointing a
handgun at them or else he would shoot them. This statement was made in a threatening manner and a demand for
the immediate transfer of possession. The phrase is informal and was used in a confrontational manner during a
robbery.
asked to leave Reyes alone and to take all his belongings instead. feared would take Reyes
and his own life by shooting them if he did not comply with his commands. was forced through fear to hand
his black iPhone 15 (Unknown. Serial #) ($800.00) (Scarface cover), and White Apple Air Pods Pro (Unknown.
Serial #) ($250.00). then instructed Reyes to give up her cell phone, to which she begged him to allow her to
keep it. asked Reyes what was on the backside of her phone between the cellphone case, to which she stated
two dollars. instructed Reyes to give her the money and groceries ($30.00) she had in her possession as he
pointed his firearm at her. Reyes handed the cash and groceries to prevent from shooting her.
After took possession of the items listed above, he asked them the following, “Do you guys know where I’m
from? I’m from Alley Boys.” It is worth noting, that Alley Boys is a criminal organization located in the city of Santa
Ana. Given the circumstances mentioned above, proclaimed himself as a current and active gang member from
the criminal organization (Alley Boys) and was engaging in criminal gang activity, and willfully promoted his gang
while conducting a felonious crime (Robbery).
Also, took property that was not his own. The property was in the possession of another person. The property
was taken from both victims’ immediate presence. The property was taken against that victims will. used fear to
take the property and prevent the victims from resisting. When used fear, he intended to deprive the owners of
their property permanently.
Subsequently, was last seen running eastbound on Pomona St. and southbound on Birch St. described
the suspect as a male Hispanic, 5’06”, approximately 18 years old, with short hair, bushy eyebrows, tattoo on his arm,
medium build, wearing a black and white striped collar shirt, black pants, and black shoes. was asked if he
was familiar with firearms, to which he stated no. searched online for a firearm that best resembled the
handgun used during the robbery, to which he retrieved a digital photograph from Google. The firearm he showed us
was a silver 1911-style handgun with a brown grip.
I asked if he would be able to identify if he saw him again, to which he stated yes. Furthermore,
stated he recognized the suspect from Saddleback High School only by his moniker, stated he was
desirous of prosecution and was provided with a police report number. He was also advised to contact the Santa Ana
Police Department, should he have further information.
This concluded my interview with
