AGENCY: SANTA ANA POLICE DEPARTMENT
On October 22, 2012, at approximately 2240 hours, Orange County District Attorney
(OCDA) Supervising Investigator RON SEMAN contacted me regarding a Santa Ana Police
Department (SAPD) officer involved shooting. SEMAN requested I respond to the area of 520
West Walnut Street, in the city of Santa Ana, to assist with the investigation.
At approximately 2340 hours, I arrived on scene and met with OCDA and SAPD
investigators who were present to assist with the investigation.
On October 23, 2012, at approximately 0037 hours, SAPD Sergeant JIM ARMSTRONG
conducted a briefing of the known circumstances surrounding the incident for the personnel
involved in the investigation.
Following the briefing, SEMAN requested I assist OCDA Investigator PAUL CARVO, who
SEMAN assigned as the lead investigator.
