Police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna tells City News Service that two patrol officers in separate cars found 35- year-old Jessica Gonzalez in a Santa Ana alley Sunday night. Bertagna says officers opened fire when Gonzalez reached for a gun that turned out to be fake. Gonzalez was suspected in the shooting death of 44-year-old Jennifer Roberta Solorio, who was gunned down Thursday afternoon in Orange. Gonzalez and Solorio had been in a long-term relationship and had lived together. Gonzalez had moved out about two months ago. Investigators have not determined a motive for the shooting, but believe the failed relationship had something to do with it.
